The only time a vertebrae pain can lead to paralysis is when one has spinal fractures which are unstable, spinal tumors or infection of the spine.

Lifting heavy objects can cause chronic pains especially on the back side. Statistics have shown that people who lift objects expose their backs to a lot of risks. This may include dislocation or spinal fracture due to the excessive pressure. When lifting objects, it is highly advocated for one to practice healthy standing postures to reduce any chances of spinal fracture or dislocation.

MRI and Xrays show the main cause of such irritation. A health practitioner can rely on these exams tests to determine the cause of your irritation but not in all cases these examinations are helpful. MRIs and X-rays only identify vertebrae pains caused by cancer or any other chronic disease.

Though such agony may be as a result of different factors, when one experiences a painful sensation whether acute or chronic, it is highly advisable to seek medical attention. However, various causes of these pains may be similar, and one may be diagnosed with the wrong condition.
