Some Things You Must Know Before Accessing Naturopathic Medicine Atlanta GA

By James Cole

Naturopathy is a holistic medicine. Holistic therapy is an umbrella under which there exist many different disciplines. Some of these are naturopathic medicine Atlanta GA, homeopathic therapy, chiropractic therapy, ayurvedic therapy, traditional Chinese therapy, acupuncture, and herbalism. Holistic therapy, holistic philosophies, stands in direct distinction to reductionistic medical philosophy.

Indeed there is a difference between reductionism and holism. Reductionism puts forward the argument that the human being is like a machine of different parts. Such a stand is as a result of the believe that consciousness is a form of biochemistry and it is a medical doctor's responsibility not to try to completely get rid of the disease, except to manage the related symptoms using drugs and, when necessary, surgery.

Holistic physicians have different argument. It is their believe that human body is a system. This system is made of up of inter-related parts inhabited and informed by a spiritual vital force, and that consciousness is first followed by the spiritual body.

Naturopathic physicians believe that, at any point in time, the human body orchestrates everything that goes on inside it because it is blessed with a God-given intelligence. They believe the body grew itself all by itself because it has wisdom, and that it is because it is so smart as a result of the God-given intelligence. Naturopaths believe that from a single cell, your body grew itself into the magnificent figure you see.

Now, if the body has the ability to grow itself, then it stands to reason that it can fix itself. Medical doctors are trained to managed symptoms and so find it difficult to believe that the body can do that. As a result, their medications are just able to manage symptoms and not cure like the way naturopaths are able to do.

The human body can fix itself. That is what all naturopaths do, that is what every holistic physician in the world does. They deliver to the body treatments the intention of which are to support the body's natural healing. This is where the term naturopathic came from. It isn't because naturopaths use therapeutics that are naturally occurring; drugs can be used naturopathically, and surgery can be used naturopathically as well.

The intention of naturopathic therapeutic is to support and promote the body's natural, God-given, built-in ability over. Now if you are up against a health condition and you had the choice of going to a medical professional who is trained that the body can't fix itself and whose job it is simply to manage your symptoms with drugs and surgery or to avail yourself of the services of a licence regulated physician who has been trained in attempting to cure your condition, who would you choose? Of course, you would choose the latter and do it professionally.

The physician who is professionally trained must have completed a 4-year undergraduate degree; four years in a naturopathic institution that is accredited and at least internship for 2 years in a clinic prior to writing a national board examinations and obtaining a medical license.

Naturopathic medical training is very rigorous in all the basic medical sciences. These are physiology and anatomy; biochemistry; immunology and microbiology; pathology and so on. Aside those mentioned, naturopathic physicians offer many forms of treatments.
